IT Cosmetics was created by former news anchor Jamie Kern Lima out of the need for high-performance, flawless makeup that also looked natural on camera. She took her line a step further by formulating it with skin-loving ingredients and anti-aging technology to create what is now an expansive line of makeup products for every age, every color, and every style.
Though I’ve watched Jamie many times on QVC and heard amazing things about IT Cosmetics, it wasn’t until recently that I got to try out her products through their Special Edition Most Wished For Holiday Palette. It’s full of their best sellers including eyeshadows, blushes, lip colors, pore perfectors, bronzers, and correctors. Here’s a little bit of a background on the palette, followed by my review and swatches!

IT Cosmetics Most Wished For Holiday Palette Review
The first two products that stand out when you first open the palette are two large highlighters – the Hello Light Creme and Hello Light Powder. They’re designed to create the look of light and lift to your skin without any glitter or shimmer. Hello Light Creme is a neutral highlighter, while the Hello Light Powder is a more golden-toned highlighter. I do wish the formula of the Hello Light Creme was a bit creamier (it’s dry and difficult to blend), and the Hello Light Powder a bit silkier. On the plus side though, the shades are universally flattering, and work with any makeup look.
Next up are the 18 Naturally Pretty eyeshadows. All but the very darkest shade are highly pigmented, and have a silky smooth (almost cream-like) texture that makes them easy to apply and blend out. The color range features both cool and warm shades that are very wearable – they range from neutrals that are great for the office, along with some shimmery and deeper shades that can be used for smoky, and more dramatic looks. Each of these powder shadows can be worn wet or dry, as shadows or liners.
The Sunshine in a Compact Bronzer is a beautiful neutral bronzer that can be used all over to create depth and a sun-kissed glow. Its neutral tones and matte finish also makes it work great as a contour color.
The Bye Bye Pores Pressed Powder (white powder to the right of the bronzer) is a clear finishing powder that works to smooth out the complexion and erase the look of pores, while also setting your makeup. It feels so silky and lightweight on the skin, and even adds a slight luminescence.
The four Bye Bye Under Eye Correctors can be mixed together and used anywhere on your skin for full-coverage color correction. The formula is somewhat thick and on the drier side, so I’d recommend applying an eye cream/moisturizer beforehand to help them glide on more easily and prevent caking. Also, the shade range is quite limited. The first is a near-white shade, the second and third cover the light to medium ranges, and the last color is a warm tan shade that fits in with medium-tan skin. I wish they had put an even darker and more neutral toned shade for the last corrector to open up the shade range a bit more.
The IT Cosmetics Most Wished For Holiday Palette includes three shades of the Bye Bye Pores Pressed Blushes – Natural Flush, Rose Glow, and Plum Perfect. They range from a shimmery peachy-pink, matte cool baby pink, and a matte cool plum, all of which offer consistent, rich pigmentation. I love their silky formulas – it makes for easy application and a smooth, natural-looking finish.
Lastly, the palette includes six shades of IT Cosmetics’ Blurred Lines Lipsticks, which are designed to give you the appearance of smoother and younger looking lips. These lippies have a super creamy, smooth, and hydrating formula, and are incredibly versatile in that you can wear them worn alone, over lipstick, or mixed together for a custom shade. They all start out sheer and can be built up for more opaque coverage (some faster than others – particularly the bright red one!). The best part is that they really do smooth out lip lines and give your lips a more youthful look!

This was my first time trying out IT Cosmetics’ products, and I have to say, I was super impressed with almost all of the products featured in this palette. The lipsticks were hydrating and buildable, the blushes and eyeshadows were super silky and pigmented, and the color correctors offered incredible coverage.
The cream highlighter and black eyeshadow were really the only disappointments for me – the highlighter was just too shimmery and dry, and the darkest, near-black eyeshadow was the least pigmented of the bunch.
Despite those two small shortcomings, considering the quality, selection, and overall quality of products in this palette, it’s really an amazing value. Plus, I’d expect it to last a while since the products are so pigmented and hence, a little goes a long way!
If you’re curious to try out IT Cosmetics, or are looking for a great holiday gift idea for the makeup lover in your life, I’d highly recommend the Special Edition Most Wished For Holiday Palette. (Bonus: It comes gift-wrapped in a silver box with a bow and blank tag to fill out, so it’s all ready to go for gift-giving!)
