Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencils | How Long Do They Really Last?

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils

Urban Decay has a reputation for making incredible quality products, and their eyeliners are no exception.  The Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencils are known for their excellent pigmentation, smooth application, and most of all, their staying power.

With a name like ’24/7′, I decided to put them to the test for a full 24 hours.  I chose to perform the test on my hand, mainly because they go through more daily ‘wear’ then my eyes do, between washing and the occasional friction/rubbing.

The above photos shows swatches of three Urban Decay eye pencils, including Sabbath (a dark matte blue), Smoke (a dark matte grey) and Perversion (a matte black).  I applied each of the eyeliners using 2-3 strokes, with even pressure.

Now let’s get a close up of the Urban Decay pencils, before and after my 24-hour testing period.

After 24 hours

After a lot of rubbing (I literally rubbed as hard as I could, 20+ times over the swatches), plus lots of contact with water throughout the day, you can see that these eye pencils held up really well.  There was a slight loss of color, but considering they didn’t come off completely after the rigorous test I put them through, I’m very impressed!

The Urban Decay 24/7 Eye Pencils hold up better and last longer than any other eyeliner pencil I’ve tested so far.  In my opinion, these babies will last you through an entire day at the beach, and then some!

Urban Decay Eyeliners are available online at stores like Nordstrom and Macys, and retail for $20 each.
