transform your daytime look to an evening look (1 of 1)-5

Between busy schedules and constantly being on-the-go, it can be hard to fit in time to ‘refresh’ our look throughout the day.  After practicing my own ‘work-to-night-out hustle’, I’ve narrowed my routine down to a few quick steps that can transform any daytime/work look into an evening look, and get us girls feeling bold and confident for a night out!

So whether you’re getting back from classes or work, or just need to make a quick transition from day to evening, here are 7 easy steps to transform your look from everyday to evening-ready in under 10 minutes!  Let’s get started!

1.  Swap Out Work Outfit for More Comfortable, Sexy Pieces

Starting with the outfit, it’s time to go comfortable and confident, while adding a bit of sexiness.  Since it’s Summertime, go for a sleeveless shirt to show off all little more skin, followed by your favorite fitted pair of jeans.

 2. Add a Statement Piece

To complete your outfit change, let’s add the finishing touches.  Go for a bold accessory like a fun statement necklace or bright handbag.

3. Refresh & Restyle Hair

Now that work/classes are out, it’s time to let your hair down (or up – whichever makes you feel the sexiest!). Start by freshening up with a dry shampoo or texturing spray.  This will soak up oilies while adding extra volume. Run your fingers through your hair (instead of a comb/brush) to help distribute the product while creating a slightly ‘messier’, texturized look. They try an exaggerated part for a more dramatic look, throw your hair up in a cute ponytail, or add some extra waves – whatever you feel most confident in!

4. Freshen Breath

Fresh breath is a must when it comes to confidence during a night out – whether you’re going out on a date, or just hanging out with friends. Make sure to brush your teeth and finish with LISTERINE® mouthwash to freshen the breath for extra confidence. LISTERINE® Antiseptic cleans virtually 100% of your mouth, including the 25% that brushing misses, and best of all, it kills 99.9% of bad breath germs! I’ll usually stock up at CVS if I’m running low!

5. Smoke Out the Eyes

For a super quick smoky eye, grab a black or dark grey eyeshadow and apply to the outer third of the eyes, then blend into the crease.  Add the same shadow to a pencil/small tipped brush and smudge in under the eyes.  This quick step adds instant drama to the eyes and creates a more edgy, sultry look!

6. Add a Pop of Color to the Lips

Finally, to finish off the bold makeup look, add a pop of color to the lips.  Go for something darker, like a rich purple, for fall and winter, or opt for something bright like a coral or fuchsia for the spring and summer!

7. Spritz Your Favorite Scent

Spraying on your favorite fragrance can instantly lift your mood and make you feel more confident. For evenings, opt for a sexier, slightly heavier scent with woodsy, spicy, or musky base notes.
