Amazon just this year launched Prime Wardrobe, a service that allows Prime members to try-on clothes, shoes, accessories, and jewelry in the comfort of their home, without having to pay a penny up-front – there’s no deposit fee, and shipping is free both ways. How does it work? Simply pick out items that are Prime Wardrobe-eligible, try everything on at home, and then checkout through Amazon’s website. Pack up everything you’re not keeping, and mail the box back using the prepaid shipping label. It’s that easy – and fun!
For me, Prime Wardrobe is a refreshing change from the typical subscription box model. While personal stylists can be helpful and time-saving, sometimes it’s nice to shop for yourself and try out items that catch your eye. It’s also completely free, and as opposed to simply placing a full order online, you don’t have to keep a balance on your credit card and then wait for returns/refunds to process.
I ordered three Prime Wardrobes so far this year and have added a few new pieces to my closet along the way, including these gorgeous strappy sandals, some comfy t-shirt dresses from Amazon’s own athleisure brand DailyRitual, and this gold choker from Jules Smith (which is no longer available via Prime Wardrobe, however it is currently on sale for over 60% off and ships with Prime!).
Speaking of jewelry, I have to say it’s one of my favorite things to try out through Prime Wardrobe. Amazon offers so many amazing brands too, and a lot of times you can snag pieces at a discount. Even if you aren’t shopping through Prime Wardrobe, lots of brands ship free with Prime, often with free returns as well. Here are seven of my favorites to shop for gorgeous, high-quality, and affordable pieces…
For chic, modern, interestingly-structured pieces that you can easily layer up, check out Jules Smith. I’m especially loving their celestial-inspired pieces like this moon phase necklace and these star drop earrings. This brand also makes the gold choker shown at the very top of this post.
If you’re into more minimalist, delicate pieces with a touch of boho, another great brand to check out over on Amazon is Benevolence LA. I’m personally loving their collection of fire opal jewelry, like this bracelet and these stud earrings. Their collection is small, but you can score some great layering pieces like these delicate chokers and this chunky chain bracelet for less than $20!
Another brand that offers super affordable, minimalist pieces with a touch of sparkle and whimsy is PAVOI. They have everything from edgy ear crawlers, to the cutest little cat pearl earrings, and almost everything is in the $10 to $20 range. I’m also loving their rose gold zodiac necklaces, which have gotten pretty stellar reviews. 😉
When it comes to full-on boho style jewelry, House of Harlow 1960 is one of my favorites. Designed by Nicole Richie, the collection features bold statements pieces with a intricate, tribal-esque detailing. My favorite pieces from the collection are the cuffs and bangles. I don’t often wear the latter because they tend to fit very loose on my skinny wrist (and unfortunately, most can’t be adjusted), but hers fit perfectly and they’re very comfortable to wear. I also love her rings, including the silver band I’m wearing above.
Another one of my favorite boho jewelry brands on Amazon is Alex and Ani. They offer a ton of gorgeous bangles and pendants, many of which incorporate meaningful messages and symbolism for family, friendly, spirituality, and/or nature (mixed in with a little Harry Potter!).
If you’re looking for styles that are timeless and sophisticated with the subtlest boho twist, look no further than Gorjana. I own quite a few pieces from them and love to layer them up to complement both casual and dressy outfits – their styles pair well with everything. A few of my current favorites are their arc hoop earrings (I love the textured metal!) and their star necklace, show above.
If you’re into more dainty necklaces that also function as little motivational and/or spiritual reminders throughout the day, check out Dogearred. Their necklaces have the cutest pendants – from tiny elephants and giraffes (love the meaning behind this one!), to guardian angel wings and celestial pieces. A few of my personal favorites include this ‘love through all phases‘ crescent moon pendant necklace and this labradorite Y-chain necklace.
