Out of all the lipsticks I own, I probably reach for my Red Apple Lipstick ones the most. I love that they’re toxin-free, natural looking, and nourishing. They also have tons of gorgeous shades and occasionally release (and re-release) new ones. Here’s a look at their latest limited edition shades for summer!
Similar to Red Apple Lipstick’s permanent lipstick line, the four in their Summer 2018 Collection feel super creamy and buttery-smooth. They hydrate the lips like a balm while adding a soft, healthy-looking sheen.
They’re also flexible when it comes to coverage. With a majority of the shades, you can start out sheer for a very natural, subtle lip look. Or, you can build to more dramatic, near full coverage color by adding extra layers.
Red Apple Lipstick Summer Collection
Summer Sands is the sheerest shade out of the four. It’s a light peachy-tan that adds just a hint of warmth to the lips. Topped off with golden micro-shimmer, it creates a gorgeous sheen that’s also still very wearable for everyday.
Sweet Coraline is a medium red-pink shade. It puts a little summertime spin on a basic red as it’s lighter, sheerer, and more low maintenance. It also features hints of coral and a touch of gold micro-shimmer, adding warmth and a playful touch. It reaches near full-coverage after 2-3 layers, and once it wears away, it leaves behind a soft red-pink stain.
Petal Rebel is a medium-light pink-lavender with a touch of cool silver iridescence. Similar to Sweet Coraline shown above, this one builds to full-coverage after 2-3 layers, and after it wears off, it leaves behind a subtle mauve stain.
French Skirt is a light pink lipstick with icy silver shimmer. One layer adds a touch of color and a soft iridescence, while after about 3 layers, the shimmer builds to full-on frostiness. For that reason, it’s incredibly versatile. You can wear it on its own for a subtle look, or build up to a dramatic shimmery look. Or, you can layer it over other lip colors to add extra dimension.
