Petit Vour June 2016 Review

In total, my June 2016 Petit Vour box included 4 deluxe sized samples, ranging from makeup, skincare, and hair care.  Here are the products I received, along with my initial impressions of each.

evolvh smartvolume leave in conditioner
EVOLVh SmartVolume Leave-in Conditioner – Leave-in conditioners are a staple in my post-shower (and very low maintenance) hair care routine. This one not only detangles using bergamot fruit oil, it also adds volume using flax, strengthens using raw, plant-derived lecithin, and protects hair against UV damage using rice bran and cumin seed oil.  It’s natural and vegan, and has an amazingly clean, refreshing scent – I can see this becoming a new favorite of mine!

juice beauty green apple brightening spf 15 moisturizer
Juice Beauty Green Apple Brightening SPF 15 Moisturizer – The sample couldn’t have come sooner!  It’s a non-greasy moisturizer with the added benefit of sun protection – one thing that I’ve been on the lookout for to help simplify my skincare routine. Although texture-wise it does feel a lot more like sunscreen (it’s quite heavy, thick, and white), it absorbs fairly quickly and leaves behind a satiny finish to the skin.

precious skin elixirs sea pearl exfoliating clay
Precious Skin Elixirs Sea Pearl Exfoliating Clay – This is a powder-to-mousse cleanser that also doubles as a facial mask.  It features a blend of clays and botanicals that exfoliate and renew the skin while water activated Vitamin C increases circulation and brightens the complexion.  These solid cleansers (plus these smaller-sized samples) make for great little travel companions too.  I’m already planning to use this as a mask the next time I throw a little ‘spa night’, and also take it with me on my Summer trips.

Suntegrity Lip C.P.R. SPF 30 –  I love the pigmentation of these lipsticks, and the added lip SPF 30 protection makes these perfect for Summer!  Not to mention, they have incredibly staying power, and use only pure pigments to get their color (no dyes).  The added organic jojoba oil, shea butter, and cocoa butter add a silky smooth look to the lips too that also help keep them hydrated.  Here are swatches of ‘Sunset Coral’ (left) and ‘Plum Eclipse’ (right), the two shades I received:

Final Thoughts

The June 2016 Petit Vour box offered an amazing selection of vegan and natural beauty goodies.  It’s hard to pick favorites with this one, but it terms of what I’ll be likely repurchasing, the EVOLVh SmartVolume Leave-in Conditioner is a sure bet.  I see myself getting a lot of use out of all the products from this box, especially since many of them feature sun protection!
