Monochrome Fashion: Black and White Outfits

Black and white outfits look flattering on everyone, plus they never seem to go out of style.  Personally, I’ve had a love for monochrome since high school, and only now am beginning to embrace it, to the point where I’m not afraid to stock my entire closet with solely black and white pieces (with the exception of some blue jeans of course!).

Even if you’re not looking to take it quite that far, it’s still fun to put together monochrome black and white outfits here and there, and wear them to anything from a formal event to a casual outing.  The bold contrast between the black and white is sure to make you stand out, while maintaining a clean, sophisticated overall look.

Here are a few outfit ideas that I put together, ranging from casual to dressy looks.  I hope these outfits give you some ideas and inspiration to help you create a monochrome look of your own.

monochromatic outfits

(1) ‘GoldenEye’

White jeans featuring gold buttons up the front, paired with a black crochet halter top and sandals with gold details. Add a gold chain crossbody bag, along with some retro white sunglasses to finish the look.

(2)  ‘For Your Eyes Only’

Fun (and glamorous looking) white and black bra and undies set. For those special nights, or days when you want to feel a little more…dangerous (yet classy, of course. Always classy).

(3) ‘Diamonds are Forever’

For an eye-catching outfit, try a white bodycon dress and cat-eye sunglasses.  Add leather lace back sandals and a gold studded crossbody bag for that extra bit of edge.

(4) ‘Quantum of Solace’

When you need to get sh*t done, try this outfit (catch the James Bond reference here…eh, eh?). Pair grungy black ripped high-waisted shorts with a sexy fitted halter crop top.  Match them with a comfortable, clean (but not for long) pair of white sneakers and a leather-like backpack, to store your…essentials…in a safe spot.

Do you like to dress in monochrome?   What’s your favorite outfit?
