GLOSSYBOX February 2018 Review & Unboxing

February 2018 Glossybox Review

The February 2018 GLOSSYBOX is themed “Sealed with a kiss” and filled with “everything you need for a fun night out with friends of a romantic date” – from deliciously scented body care, to a lip scrub and lip color for the perfect pout.  Here’s a quick rundown of all 6 products inside…

John Masters Organics Geranium & Grapefruit Body Wash & Body Milk

John Masters Organics Geranium & Grapefruit Body Wash & Body Milk (Value: $6.50 each) – If you love citrus scents, you’ll love this little duo!  Both smell like fresh grapefruit, and make the perfect pick-me-ups in the morning, or really any time of the day!  I have yet to try the body wash, but the lotion I’m loving – it’s loaded with nourishing organic oils, yet manages to feel lightweight and absorbs quickly.

JJ Young Mud Mask Sheet

JJ Young Mud Mask Sheet (Value: $5) – For a glowing complexion, they’ve included a unique, 3D mud sheet mask from K-beauty brand JJ Young.  I received the Charcoal one, which is great for oily skin types, but there’s also Green Tea and Rosehip versions as well, which other subscribers will receive based on their beauty profile.  I heard this mask was a bit messy, so I’ll be trying it out tonight before my shower!

Vasanti Cosmetics Eyeshadow Brush (Value: $21) –  And finally, we have a beauty tool.  Looking back at my older boxes, I realized that I’d received the exact same brush back in October.  Even still, it is a nice quality brush, and the perfect size for packing eyeshadow on the lid, so I’m okay with having an extra.  (Subscribers will either receive a makeup brush – for the face or eyes – or tweezers.)

Royal Apothic Scrubbie Exfoliating Lip Treatment

Royal Apothic Scrubbie Exfoliating Lip Treatment (Full size, Value: $14) – To get soft, smooth lips, lip scrubs work wonders.  This one comes from a brand I’ve actually seen before – Royal Apothic. In fact, I received a lip tint from them in a past Glossybox, quite a few years ago!  Their products are very luxurious feeling – this one in particular is loaded with exfoliating natural sugars, plus oils that leave your lips moisturized even after you wipe it off.  The only thing I don’t like?  It’s not something you’d want to lick off – though at first you’ll notice its sweet, fruity flavor, the aftertaste is a bit unpleasant.

Doucce Relentless Matte Lip Crayon (Full size, Value: $22) –  This is another brand that I discovered through Glossybox.  So far, I’ve been impressed with their products, and this lip crayon is no exception.  The quality is amazing – it’s super pigmented and stains the lips, giving you hours of wear with budging or smearing.  (Subscribers will either receive a lip crayon, lip liner, or gloss from Doucce. Colors will vary.)

Overall, the shining stars for me this month included the Royal Apothic Scrubbie Exfoliating Lip Treatment (you can’t have enough of these in the winter, and I love that it’s full size – it’s going to last a while!) and the John Masters Organics Geranium & Grapefruit Body Wash & Body Milk duo (I love their citrus-y scents, and oil-rich yet lightweight formulas, not to mention the brand is a personal fav of mine!).
