Dailylook Elite Review & Try On | Box #8

dailylook elite november 2017 review, unboxing

Today I’m unboxing a brand new box of goodies from DailyLook.  That’s right, my Dailylook Elite box for November has arrived, and as usual, I’m going to run through each of the pieces and let you know what I kept, and what I returned.  So let’s get started…

Dailylook Elite Review November 2017

Michael Stars Jagger Boyfriend Long Sleeve V Neck Tee ($78) – Michael Stars makes some pretty awesome (and comfy) basics – the only problem is that a lot of the clothing comes in a ‘one size fit’ (like this top).  Although I liked the quality, style, and material, it fit just a little too loose on me.  RETURNED

Dailylook Elite Review November 2017

Storee Sheer Striped Lightweight Knit Sweater ($79) – From the second I put this on, I knew I was going to keep it! It’s soft and warm, and the sheer stripes add a little extra twist. I’m not exactly sure how you’re supposed to wear this – maybe with just a bra underneath? Hm, I’m not that brave. For now, I’m just going to layering it over a black tank top…works for me. 🙂 KEPT

Lumiere Lace-Up Corset Tee

Lumiere Lace-Up Corset Tee ($58) – I’ve been wanting to try one of these corset-style tops for some time, but now that I have, I’m not sure that I like the style on me.  Yes, it does cinch the waist and enhance the figure, but it’s just a bit too…out there for my taste.  RETURNED

Dailylook Elite Review November 2017

BCBGeneration Bell Sleeve Top ($88) –  The floral print and unique front button closure on this top initially caught my eye.  However, I just didn’t find the fit to be that flattering on me.  On top of that, between the mini ‘poof’ on the shoulders and bell sleeves, it just didn’t fit my style.   RETURNED

Dailylook Elite Review November 2017

BB Dakota High-Neck Cold Shoulder Knit Top ($55) –  I had put in a specific request for cold shoulder tops a few boxes back, and my stylist definitely hit the mark with this one!  It has a high neck (which is my favorite style neckline) and a stretchy, super comfy fit.  KEPT

Dailylook Elite Review November 2017

DL Mina Hooded Layering Jacket ($89) – I debated on whether or not to keep this jacket.  On the one hand, it’s the perfect comfy, casual layering piece to toss on over a tee with a pair of jeans (my usual attire).  There was also a feeling of nostalgia involved (I could have sworn I had the same exact style jacket back in elementary school!).  However, the pale pink color I wasn’t crazy about, plus it wrinkled way too easily, so I decided to pack it back up….  RETURNED

Dailylook elite review - Skingraft Moto Skinny Jeans

Skingraft Moto Skinny Jeans ($148) – These jeans fit my style perfectly.  They’re edgy, ankle length, and fit nice and slim.  The only thing I didn’t like was the material – the denim had almost no stretch to them (and I need my stretch!).  RETURNED

Dailylook Elite November 2017 Review - Bailey 44 Asymmetrical Skirt

Bailey 44 Asymmetrical Skirt ($94) – While I love the look of slim-fitting pencil skirts, these loose, flowy skirts are a welcomed change.  This one in particular is super soft with plenty of stretch.  I also love the asymmetric hem – it makes it a bit more interesting than my basic straight hem black skirts.  KEPT

Dailylook Elite review - Olivia Grey Priya Printed Cold Shoulder Dress

Olivia Grey Priya Printed Cold Shoulder Dress ($98) – I liked the print on this dress, plus the fabric was comfortable and flowy.  However, what I didn’t find to be super flattering were the cold shoulders/straps on the top area combined with wide, almost bell-like sleeves.  On me, it looked disproportionate and too bottom-heavy.  RETURNED

Summary

This round of DailyLook Elite was definitely another success.  I found three new pieces to add to my fall/winter wardrobe – all of which are black (my favorite ‘color’ to wear), a little edgy/unique, and very comfortable.  I’ve been wearing the Storee sweater non-stop these past few days, and the cold shoulder top and skirt have been coming in handy for evenings out – they’re the perfect mix of casual, sexy, and edgy.
