The Petit Vour Vegan Beauty Box: September 2018 Review & Unboxing

Petit Vour September 2018 review & unboxing

I have quite a few clean beauty subscription boxes that I’ve been waiting to review.  I’m thinking about doing a consolidated video review at the end of the month to go over all three – Love Goodly, Petit Vour, and Goodbeing – but we’ll see!  In the meantime, here’s a quick first impressions of the Petit Vour box for this month.

If you’re new to the Petit Vour beauty box, it’s a monthly subscription box that delivers 4-5 luxury beauty products straight to your door.  The products are not only high-performing, but also all non-toxic, vegan, and cruelty-free!  Each box includes items like everyday skincare, body care, and makeup, and occasionally hair and nail care.  It ships worldwide and costs $18/month to the US, $23/month to Canada, and $25/month to ship everywhere else.  Visit Petit Vour to learn more!

“Petit Vour is the luxury destination for cruelty-free beauty and lifestyle. Everyday beautiful thing in your Petit Vour Box is expert-vetted and free of animal testing, animal ingredients and harmful toxins, for the easiest transition to cruelty-free beauty.”

Now, without further ado, let’s take a look inside the Petit Vour box for September…

Petit Vour September 2018 review & unboxing 1

Petit Vour September 2018 Review

The September 2018 Petit Vour beauty box brings us four “decadent, replenishing, and restorative little luxuries”, from a richly pigmented, hydrating lip crayon, to deeply moisturizing, deliciously scented washes, lotions, and oils.  Keep reading for the full rundown!

Axiology Lip Crayon in Enduring, swatch & review 01

Axiology Lip Crayon (Full size, Value: $26) – Axiology has been popping up more and more in clean beauty subscription boxes lately.  The brand currently focuses solely on lip products, which they’ve designed to be non-toxic, natural, vegan, and cruelty-free.

I received one of their lipsticks in the Love Goodly box for Aug/Sept and am super happy to have gotten the chance to try out one of their no-fuss, easy-to-apply lip crayons with this Petit Vour box.  The crayons are formulated with deeply hydrating and nourishing ingredients, including a slew of natural butters and oils.  On top of doubling as a lip balm and smoothing the lips, they also offer impressive pigmentation that you can take from sheer to full coverage with just a few layers.  I received the shade ‘Enduring’ which is a medium rose-berry – it’s perfect for fall!

Also available at Sephora, Revolve & Amazon

Petit Vour September 2018 - Evolvh Ultra-Shine Moisture Duo 2

Evolvh Ultra-Shine Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner (Sample size, Value: $5) – Next, we have this little natural shampoo and conditioner duo.  The UltraShine shampoo is formulated to balance hair’s pH level and add shine and smoothness.  It also delivers nutrients to the hair and scalp through natural herbs, seaweeds, fruits and botanicals, along with amino and fatty acids that restore hair from the inside out.  Meanwhile, the conditioner is formulated to repair, restore, detangle, add shine and reduce frizz through nourishing actives like wild pansy, sweet clover, and apricot extracts, plus amino and fatty acids.

I’ll be updating my review once I’ve tried both together – hopefully I’ll notice at least a slight difference after the first wash.  (The one downside with these little bottles is that they only give you enough for one use, maybe two if you have very short hair.)

Also available at The Detox Market, dermstore & Amazon

Petit Vour September 2018 review - Olverum Bath Oil 02

Olverum Bath Oil (Deluxe size, Value: $13) – The weather is getting cooler, and you know what that means – it’s time to start enjoying those hot baths again!  This one from Olverum is already a favorite of mine.  I’ve tried it once before after receiving the same sample in a previous clean beauty box (though I forget which one) and am happy to have gotten a second bottle (which may look small, but it will last at least a good 3 baths!).

I especially love the oil’s very green, forest-y smell from the Siberian fir needle and eucalyptus oils.  Plus, the formula itself sinks right into the skin without feeling greasy afterwards.  It’s perfect for hydrating the skin while you soak and relax!

Also available at goop, The Detox Market, Anthropologie & Amazon

Andalou Naturals Kukui Cocoa Nourishing Body Butter review

Andalou Naturals Kukui Cocoa Nourishing Body Butter (Deluxe size, Value: $2) – Audalou makes some of my favorite clean, non-toxic facial moisturizers.  This was my first time trying out their body lotions though, and I have to say, I’m equally impressed!  I love the way this one feels on the skin – it’s so rich but absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling supple and smooth, sans any kind of greasy, lingering residue.  The scent is so warm and scrumptious too (even my boyfriend took a whiff and commented on how good it smells)!

Also available at Walmart & Amazon
