We all pick our little luxuries in life. Whether it be pricey skincare and makeup, facials and spa visits, high-end purses and shoes, or maybe fine dining, antiquing, traveling, hobbies, etc – it all comes down to what you have a passion for, and what drives you to spend that little bit extra. For me, those little luxuries are perfumes, and watches.
Although many people believe that watches are a thing of the past (now that we all carry around our smart phones), I will forever see them as classic and timeless, and essential statements to all of my outfits. They’re also one item that I wear practically every day, which to me justifies spending a little extra.
My love for watches has led me to purchase quite a few styles over the years, though I have yet to take the leap into the ‘luxury’ range. Of course, that hasn’t stopped me from making a wishlist of my favorites. 😉 Here are some of the ones I’ve been eyeing:

Decide on a Budget
This is the first step really before making any large purchase in life. Knowing your limits will make shopping a whole lot easier and help eliminate the temptation to wander outside of your budget.
Decide on a Style
Think about your/your loved one’s style and lifestyle, including their work environment and even hobbies. This will help you narrow down the best fit style-wise, while also considering options from a more practical standpoint. For example, a watch with a leather band may not be the best option for someone who enjoys water sports or outdoor activities – rubber or stainless steel are going to be more durable, and require less maintenance.

If you’ve got your eye on a Chanel, Cartier, Hermes or other super luxe brand and don’t mind buying second hand, TheRealReal.com is another fun site to browse.
Enjoy It & Protect It
