Spring brings warm weather, fresh blooms, and some gorgeous new makeup products from e.l.f. Cosmetics, including five hydrating Tinted Lip Oils. Keep reading for my review plus swatches of the shades ‘Berry Kiss’ and ‘Coral Kiss’.
e.l.f. Tinted Lip Oils
The e.l.f. Tinted Lip Oils combine a healthy dose of shine with just a hint of color, making them perfect complements to any minimal spring/summer makeup look. Formulated with Jojoba, Apricot, and Vitamin E, they also help smooth and hydrate the lips, working almost as a lip balm.
The Tinted Lip Oils are currently available in five colors: Nude Kiss, Coral Kiss, Pink Kiss, Shimmer Red Kiss, and Berry Kiss. Here’s Berry Kiss (a deep cool raspberry) and Coral Kiss (a soft warm pink):

e.l.f. Tinted Lip Oils Review
Although the colors in the tubes look pretty vibrant and opaque, the e.l.f. Tinted Lip Oils provide a sheer wash of color – even the darkest shade ‘Berry Kiss’ tones down to a very natural-looking lip.
The Tinted Lip Oils also pack a healthy amount of shine. Only, unlike most glosses, the Lip Oils don’t leave behind any sticky feeling on the lips.
Because they add both a subtle tint and shine, the e.l.f. Tinted Lip Oils work well on their own for a quick and minimal lip look. They can also be used over top of lipsticks to tone them down or play them up, while also adding some extra shine and hydration.
Pigmentation and shine aside, from someone who has super dry lips, these lip oils are amazing! They make my lips feel and look super smooth and hydrated. The effect also lasts long after the formula has faded.
Like any lip product that’s super creamy or oil-based, the Tinted Lip Oils tend to transfer easily and hence fall a bit short in terms of longevity. For me, they last under two hours. Fortunately, re-applying is quick, easy, and foolproof (you don’t even need to use a mirror).
And of course, they have e.l.f.’s signature sweet cupcake-y scent! 🙂
