Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base Nude Radiance & Golden Radiance Review

Glowing skin is the starting point for all of Burberry’s beauty looks – from makeup tutorials to runaway.  Their latest skin-illuminating product – the Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base – was created to give us signature, timeless glow in seconds.

Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base

The Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base is a multi-use primer designed to add a subtle radiance to the complexion and create that signature Burberry glow.  The formula is 55% water-infused to help hydrate the skin while providing a smooth and effortless application.  But the real magic is in the formula’s mirror-flat intense reflection pearls.  They’re designed to create shimmer-free, natural-looking luminosity, as well as blur minor imperfections.

The Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base can be used in multiple ways:

  • worn alone or under foundation for a natural glow
  • mixed with foundation for a smoother, sheerer finish and subtle all-over glow
  • dabbed on cheekbones, bridge of the nose, and the Cupid’s bow for a natural highlight
  • blended into eye shadow for a sheer, glowing wash of color

The universal shade, Nude Radiance No.01, adds a dewy glow to any skin tone, while Golden Radiance No.02 gives skin a warmed, bronze-y tone.

Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base Review

The Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base comes packaged in a luxury, mess-free container with a pump that’s easy to control and doesn’t lead to wasted product.

Surprisingly, the formulas actually vary between the two shades. Nude Radiance No. 01 is a lot smoother and creamier in texture.  Golden Radiance No. 02, on the other hand, is a bit thinner and more watery, and the light-reflecting pearls and pigments visibly separate as you begin to work with it.

Despite their difference in texture, both shades feel lightweight and glide evenly and effortlessly over the skin.  I use my fingers to apply them, and it takes literally seconds to create a seamless finish.

Each one also packs a lot of light-reflecting pearls and pigments.  Here are a few more swatches – their formulas applied in small, pea-size amounts and blended out using my fingers.

When it comes to the final results, the two shades work similarly in that they both add a natural-looking ultra-dewy effect to the skin, with just the slightest hint of micro-shimmer.  Nude Radiance No. 01 also brightens my light-medium skin ever-so-slightly, while Golden Radiance No. 02 acts as a bronzer and deepens my skin tone by about half a shade, which you can sort of make out in the photo below.

I also love using the Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Bases mixed with my liquid foundations (mainly those with water-based formulas, and satin or already dewy finishes) to sheer them out and also up the dewiness factor.

I’m still experimenting with them as highlighters and blended with eye shadows – will update with a photo shortly! 😉
