BarkBox: A Fun-Filled Subscription Box For Our Furry Friends

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of BarkBox. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you guys have pets, you know just how fun it is to spoil them – whether it’s with tasty treats when they’re being little angels, or cozy little sweaters to keep them warm in the wintertime.  And while those cute corner dog shops are fun to browse through for new goodies, sometimes it’s even more exciting to get a surprise box full of treats delivered straight to our door (just like our favorite monthly beauty and fashion boxes!).  That’s where BarkBox comes in…

Barkbox November 2017 review & unboxing

BarkBox is a monthly subscription box that’s specifically curated by a team of people who are clearly passionate about helping to keep our dogs happy. Plans start at only $20 a month (with free shipping to the US and Canada), and include monthly deliveries of all-natural treats and chews, plus unique, innovative toys tailored to your dog’s size – with a total value of over $40! All of the toys are designed in-house and feature the highest quality materials (like stomach-safe T-shirt rope and spiky ball cores), while all of the BARK treats are grain, soy, wheat, and corn-free, and made and ingredient sourced in US and Canada.

And to make sure your furry friend has the best experience possible, BarkBox’s customer service team will help curate a box for your pup if they have allergies, or any other special needs. Plus, with their 100% Happiness Guaranteed policy, if your dog doesn’t absolutely love an item in their box, BarkBox will send a replacement treat or toy for free!

Another fun part about BarkBox is that they change things up every month with an entirely new selection of toys and treats, all wrapped around a fun seasonal or holiday theme to keep our dogs excited and engaged. This month’s box for example, was themed ‘Pupstate Orchards’ with goodies that fit into a mix of fall and outdoorsy-themed items. And guess what? Oliver went crazy for everything inside!

When the box first arrived, I had laid out all the toys and bags of treats on a chair in the living room, and Oliver immediately scurried over to take a look. He grabbed the Bonfire Bites first and desperately tried to open up the bag by himself. We ended up giving him a few to try out and he gobbled them up so quickly that my camera’s shutter speed wasn’t fast enough to catch it! And who could blame him!? They’re packed with so many tasty, all-natural ingredients like peas, potatoes, chickpeas, bacon, and maple syrup!

Then, we tossed him the cuddly toys to see how he’d react, and he went crazy! The Johnny Apple Squeaks (such a cute name by the way!) kept him busy for quite some time. He first pulled out the two little apple squeakers and played around with them, and then proceeded to dig his nose into the crinkly barrel like he was bobbing for more!

I have to say, this is one of the cutest dog toys I’ve ever come across, and I particularly love the fact that it comes with the apples and a barrel, so you’re essentially getting three toys in one. After having a little fun at the orchard, so to speak, Oliver sat down with his PSL, aka Puggin’ Spice Latte, another incredibly cute squeaky toy that looks just like a little Starbucks cup. He just looked so sophisticated as he sat on the floor playing with its fuzzy whipped cream top.

Also inside this month’s BarkBox was an oven-shaped box filled with Duck Cranberry Yum in the Oven treats, which were made with all-natural ingredients like meaty duck, and then cut into cute little pie slices. We decided to save those as special treats for later on since, by then, Oliver had already settled himself down to chewing on one of the Lamb Ear chews. 😛

Overall, unboxing this month’s BarkBox and watching Oliver play with all the goodies inside made for quite an exciting little event – for the whole family – and one I certainly won’t forget!

If you’re looking for a way to spoil your furry friend, introduce your pup to their new favorite holiday: BARKBOX DAY! 🙂

Update: Here’s a look at the box we got for December 2017, themed ‘Dogsmas in the City’!

I especially love the little ‘Central Bark Skaters’ toy that came in this month’s box – the expressions on the two peoples’ faces are so adorable!  It’s a tug-a-war toy by the way – the two skaters are attached in the middle by an elastic rope – too fun! 🙂

And of course we have more tasty snacks and a chew!
