“Long-lasting and rich in color, our Eternity Lipstick is committed to maintaining a perfect pout from from coffee to cocktails.” – Au Naturale
Au Naturale’s Eternity Lipsticks provide what many of us search for in a lipstick – rich color and amazing longevity. But take a closer look at what’s inside their sleek black cases and you’ll find all-natural, non-toxic, vegan ingredients. According to their website “each ingredient has been scrutinized before being included into a formulation, only those who are ethically sound, factually healthy & naturally sourced making the final cut.” This extends beyond the lipsticks to their entire makeup line – everything is free from toxins, dyes, synthetic preservatives, nano particles, gluten, parabens, and fillers, as well as cruelty-free, vegan, and made in the USA.
Eternity Lipstick Ingredients: Ricinus Communis (Castor Seed Oil), Macadamia Ternifolia (Macadamia Seed Oil), Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla Wax), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter Fruit), Camelina Sativa (Camelina Seed Oil), Organic Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Seed Oil), Oryza Sativa (Rice Bran Oil), Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond Oil), Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam Seed Oil), Rubus Idaeus (Red Raspberry Seed Oil), Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba Wax), Hydrogenated Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Seed Wax), Titanium Dioxide, Iron Oxides, Micas.
To top it off, the blend of moisturizing oils give these lipsticks a balm-like feel, and keep my lips smooth and hydrated for several hours.
(And just a note on packaging, shown in the photo above is Au Naturale’s original silver tube packaging in the back, along with their sleek new black cases with magnetic closures in the front.)
Here are three of my favorite shades from their collection, for all different occasions…
Marrakesh is the lightest shade in the Eternity Lipstick collection. It’s a soft pale pink-nude, with just the right amount of warmth and earthiness to make it universally-flattering. Most impressively for a nude, it’s not at all patchy, and provides smooth, even, near full-coverage with a satin finish. It’s one of my favorite shades to pair with a dark, smokey eye.
Innocence is a medium pink-beige with a soft lavender shift. It’s the most everyday-wearable, universally-flattering shade in the Eternity Lipstick collection. With its mix of lavender, soft pink, and nude tones, and a satin-cream finish, it offers a gorgeous ‘my lips but better’ look.
Sangria is a vibrant magenta pink with a violet shift and a satin finish. It applies semi-sheer with one layer, then builds up to near full-coverage with a second layer. It’s my absolute favorite in the collection – a stunning and eye-catching shade for evenings out and summertime parties!
Elsa Luisa is described as a ‘true matte plum’ (though, I’d have to disagree with the matte finish part. With all the oils in the formula, it looks more like a satin.) Coverage is incredibly versatile – apply one swipe for a sheer lip look, or build it up with 2-3 layers for semi-opaque coverage that mimics the look of a lip stain. It’s the perfect shade if you’re not a huge lipstick wearer like myself, but still want to be able to experiment with darker, bolder lip looks.
