Mirenesse iCurl Secret Weapon 24 Hour Mascara Review

Mirenesse iCurl Secret Weapon 24 Hour Mascara

I love trying out new mascaras, and so today I wanted to share with you one that I received quite recently as part of the March 2015 Birchbox.  It’s called the Mirenesse Cosmetics iCurl 24 Hr Secret Weapon Mascara.  Well, let’s see if this mascara can hold up to its name!

What It Does

The Mirenesse Cosmetics iCurl 24 Hr Secret Weapon Mascara is made with ‘exclusive Secret Weapon™ tubing technology’ which coats and separates lashes for all-day curls that won’’t smudge, clump, or flake. This mascara is also safe for contact wearers and sensitive eyes, and is free of alcohol, parabens, mineral oil, and synthetic fragrance.

Mirenesse iCurl Secret Weapon 24 Hour Mascara wand

As you can see, the Mirenesse mascara features a curved wand that’s made to fit better around your lashes and retain their curl.  The wand fibers are spaced out just enough to prevent clumping, while keeping your lashes defined and separated.

The fibers are also grouped together in dense little sections, which allows you to get a generous amount of product on the lashes to help build volume.

Mirenesse iCurl Secret Weapon 24 Hour Mascara before and after

Mirensse iCurl Secret Weapon Mascara Review

As you can see from the before and after, you do get a great amount of volume, curl, and lash separation after just two coats.  The Mirenesse iCurl mascara comes in a rich black that adds that extra pop as well.

To apply, you definitely want to coat on as much as you can quite quickly, or else it can start to clump as the formula starts to drys and ‘mold’ around the lashes.

For the true 24 hour test, I applied the Mirenesse iCurl mascara in the morning one day and wore it throughout the day and then slept in it.  The next morning, guess what?!  My lashes looked just as good as they did the first time I applied the mascara.  The best part was that they maintained their curl the whole time, thanks to the little ‘tubes’ holding up my lashes!

To remove the Mirenesse mascara, the directions say to splash your lashes with warm water, then gently slide the mascara tubes off your lashes with your fingers or a cotton pad.  No makeup remover is required.

The only downside is that this mascara isn’t waterproof.  But for everyday wear, I think it’s a great choice!  It’s available for around $29.00 here on Amazon.

Have you tried this Mirenesse mascara?
