Welcome to day 2 of my ‘4 Days of Josie’ series. Last time, I reviewed Josie Maran’s Black Oil mascara, which is an amazingly rich, black mascara with argan oil and other lashes nourishing ingredients. Today, we’re moving on to the latest version of her famous Argan Oil – the new Josie Maran Argan Oil Light.
100% Pure Argan Oil Light
What It Does
The Josie Maran Argan Oil Light is an ultra-lightweight, fast-absorbing version of Josie’s popular 100% Pure Argan Oil. The 100% Pure Argan Oil Light moisturizes, hydrates, balances, repairs and replenishes skin. The oil also reduces sebum production, so it is ideal for all skin types, especially breakout-prone and sensitive. And now that it’s in a new lighter version, it absorbs quicker, and leaves a semi-matte finish to the skin.
How to Apply
To apply the oil, put a few drops on your fingers or directly on your face, and then gently massage it into the skin. You can wear it under your makeup as your base moisturizer, or even instead of makeup!
I’ve tried Josie’s original Argan Oil, and though it is amazingly moisturizing, I sometimes find that the formula can be a little thick, heavy, and slightly greasy feeling. This doesn’t make it the ‘friendliest’ oil to use on the face, especially when used on its own.
Unlike her regular formula however, this new ‘Light’ version of the Argan oil is easy to apply, absorbs quicker, and feels less greasy on the face. The formula is more like a liquid serum rather than an oil, and as a result, spreads and absorbs quickly and evenly over the skin.
The Light version is also just as moisturizing as the original, yet it’s not ‘heavy’ feeling and doesn’t create that all-over shine that I sometime get after using the original. Instead, it creates a semi-matte finish and even helps to reduce my oilies throughout the day!
Now that her argan oil is in this new lightweight formula, I’ve actually started using it more during the day, versus only as a night treatment. That means more of that argan oil goodness for my skin!
