E.l.f. Cosmetics’ Highlighting Dewy Drops have the silkiest texture I’ve ever come across in a liquid highlighter, thanks to ingredients like polydecene, silica dimethyl silylate, and silica. Combine the moisturizing ingredients with a heavy dose of illuminating mica, and you get one ultra-intense glow that can be build up for strobing, or toned down for a soft highlight.
The oil texture makes it easy to apply and blend out using just your fingers. Or you can use a synthetic face brush or dampened beauty blender (my favorite way to apply it) and dab it on the cheekbones and any other place you want to add a glow.
Looking to get all over illumination? These silky drops are the perfect consistency to mix with your liquid or cream foundation to add a subtle radiance over the entire face.
They’re also super pigmented, so you only need to use a small amount. And considering it’s only $4 a tube, it packs a ton of value!

Since the formula is packed with skin smoothers, e.l.f.’s Liquid Highlighter glides on and blends out effortless. The only downside however is that it never completely dries down, leaving the skin feeling slightly greasy and looking ultra-shiny. To help set it and tone it done, a light dusting of setting powder does the trick. (Or, if you want to play it up for even more oomph, apply a powder over top.) Either way you go, I recommend giving the formula at least 1-2 minutes to settle on the skin to avoid any patchiness.

In the below photos, you’ll see how I apply it. I start by lightly dotting on the e.l.f. Highlighting Dew Drops, and then I’ll grab a slightly dampened beauty blender and tap it over my skin to blend them out.
This liquid highlighter literally takes seconds apply and creates a gorgeous glow that’s almost metallic looking. With setting powder over top, the formula stays put all day, even on my oily cheeks.
