How to Give Your Hair a Hydration Boost in 3 Minutes

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong review

Our hair can be one of our best accessories – whether we’re letting down our freshly-salted beach waves in the summer, adding waves and curls for a night out, or creating a smooth and styled look day-to-day. But it seems the more fun we have with our hair, the more attention it demands when it comes to keeping it strong and healthy.

DIY natural hair masks and deep conditioning masques work great when our hair is in need of a lil’ rehab, but they can be time-consuming and often times expensive. My routine, for example, typically looks something like this: concoct a homemade hair mask, apply and wait for 30-60 minutes, thoroughly shampoo and rinse, condition, then finish with hair oil. But as much as I love the results, I’ve rarely had time to do the treatments, as they require a good 1-2 hours of downtime (while I sit around looking like a grease ball!). That is, until I discovered quite literally a ‘miracle’ hair care product from Aussie, called the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong Conditioning Treatment. It provides the same (if not better) results as a natural homemade mask and high-end deep conditioner – only it works in just 3 minutes, and costs less than $6.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong Deep Conditioner

The 3 Minute Miracle deep conditioner was first introduced by Aussie back in 1979, and has since gained a cult following, not to mention it has won several beauty awards. That was enough to grab my attention!

What how does it work?  Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong Conditioning Treatment is formulated with Australian aloe, jojoba oil, and sea kelp, which nourish and hydrate our hair to make it 10x stronger against damage (vs. using a regular non-conditioning shampoo), while also lengthening the life of our locks by reducing damage.

Practicality aside, the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong Conditioning Treatment also smells amazing! Squeeze out the deep conditioner out from its (rather nifty) dispensing mechanism, and right away you’re hit with a blend of juicy citrus notes, including grapefruit, orange and lemon. The formula is on the thicker side (not at all runny), and also smooth and silky, making it easy to distribute throughout your hair.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle How To

The steps are super simple:

  1. First, shampoo your hair and rinse out as usual
  2. Apply Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong Conditioning Treatment, thoroughly coating your hair (and scalp)
  3. Wait 3 minutes, then rinse out

It’s that easy!  I’ll typically shampoo my hair as soon as I get in the shower, apply the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong Conditioning Treatment and let it sit while I do everything else.  Then I’ll rinse just before getting out of the shower.

Aussie Total Miracle and Moist Shampoo and Conditioners

For the shampoo step, I recommend pairing up the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong Conditioning Treatment with either Aussie’s Total Miracle 7N1 Shampoo (which is what I used in my before/after below) or Aussie’s Moist Shampoo. Both of their formulas (and scents) work synonymously with the deep conditioner by moisturizing and strengthening your hair as you cleanse.  Aussie’s Total Miracle Collection 7N1 Shampoo, for example, features a moisturizing frizz control system that makes hair silky smooth while strengthening it against damage. Aussie’s Moist Shampoo hydrates hair and leaves it clean, fresh and ready to be styled.

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong Before & After

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong before and after

The before photo shows what my hair looked like first thing in the morning (after using just my regular shampoo the day before).  The after photo was taken after I washed my hair with the Aussies Total Miracle Collection 7N1 Shampoo, followed by the 3 Minute Miracle deep conditioner.  Once out of the shower, I simply combed out my hair and let it air dry. As you can see, there is definitely an improvement – no need to use a straightener here!  The 3 Minute Miracle deep conditioner made my hair much smoother, straighter, and shinier, and also eliminated frizz and static (which is always a big issue during these drier months!).

Overall, if you’ve got $3-$6 and 3 minutes to spare each week, I’d definitely recommend trying out the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Strong Conditioning Treatment. It’s amazing how well (and quickly) it works to re-hydrate hair, and has no doubt made its way into my year-round hair care routine!
