Welcome to the final day of my ‘4 Days of Josie’ series. So far, I reviewed Josie Maran’s Black Oil mascara, her Argan Oil Light, and the Protect + Perfect Argan Daily Moisturizer, and today I’m moving onto the Josie Maran Argan Color Stick, another beauty product that is rich in skin-loving Argan Oil!

Josie Maran Argan Color Stick

What It Does

The Josie Maran Argan Color Stick is a dual-purpose lip and cheek color.  It provides a subtle, natural wash of color that can be built up to your desired intensity.  This cream color also adds a long-lasting dewy finish to the skin.

The Argan Color Stick is infused with Josie Maran’s signature argan oil, which helps repair and replenish your skin while you wear it.  Additionally, the color stick contains avocado, mango seed and shea butters, along with lemon tea tree oil and menthol to refresh and purify your skin.

How to Apply

There are a few ways to apply these Josie Maran Color Sticks.  The first way is to gently press and swipe the color stick directly on your lips and/or cheeks.  Alternatively, you can touch your fingers or a brush to the stick first, then apply.

If you’re using the color stick as a blush, you can get away with using your fingers to blend it in since the formula is so creamy.  A brush (like the MAC 139) would also work if you don’t want to get your fingers messy.

Josie Maran Argan Color Stick Review

On the cheeks, the Josie Maran Argan Color Stick adds a very natural looking flush –  a sort of “glowing from within” look, like it’s coming from behind your cheeks!  The dewy finish adds a pretty, natural looking highlight to the cheeks as well.

In terms of application on the cheeks, I find it easiest to both apply and blend the color using just my fingers (the warmth of my fingers seems to speed up the time it takes to blend).  The formula itself is incredibly creamy, so it’s easy (and almost fool-proof) to apply.

The Josie Maran Argan Color Stick can also be worn on the lips as a sort of tinted balm.  It’s really the perfect solution if you just want to enhance you’re natural lip color while hydrating your lips at the same time – a great 2-in-1 kind of product.  Plus, the added menthol adds a slight cooling effect!

In the photos below , you can see how it looks both on the cheeks. 🙂

The Josie Maran Argan Color Stick shade that I’m using here is called Guava Goddess.  It’s a pretty red-orange shade that adds a natural wash of color on both the cheeks and lips, plus it contains a small amount of gold shimmer for that extra ‘glow’ (though nothing over-the-top).

I believe Guava Goddess was exclusive to the ‘Love & Light’ collection from QVC, but you can sometimes find it on Amazon.  Currently, there are five main shades available, which you can find on Josie Maran’s website.  These shades include Pink, Coral, Spice, Rosey, and Red.

Final Wrap Up

Overall, there are just too many reasons why I love the Josie Maran Color Sticks!  It’s incredibility easy to apply, and looks so pretty on the cheeks (gives you great color, plus some dewiness).  It’s also versatile/dual-purpose, good for the skin, and comes in gorgeous on-to-go packaging that you can literally toss into your purse!
